THC drink terms in plain English: a Kronton glossary

Updated October 16, 2026

THC drink terms fall into five groups: extract, format, label, buying and delivery terms. Each group answers a different question about the bottle in hand. Kronton is a beverage brand that sells hemp-derived THC beverages, and its listings use most of these words.

Each entry below gives a plain definition in one or two sentences. Where a Kronton guide covers a term in more depth, the entry links to it. Product facts come from Kronton's own listings. Store owners will find trade terms in the last section.

Extract terms: what the THC comes from

Extract terms describe the source of the THC and how it was pulled from the plant. They appear near the top of most listings.

  • Hemp-derived THC: THC taken from hemp plants. Every Kronton Elixir listing names hemp-derived THC among its label facts.
  • Live rosin: an extract pressed from fresh-frozen plant material using heat and pressure. All three Kronton Elixir flavors list live rosin.
  • Solventless: a general term for an extract made without chemical solvents. Pressed rosin is the common example.
  • Distillate: a refined extract made by heating and condensing plant oil. The process strips out most plant compounds other than the target one.

For a full walk-through of the extract, see What is a live rosin THC drink?.

Format terms: what kind of drink it is

Format terms describe the liquid, the container and how it is stored before opening.

  • Ready-to-drink: a beverage sold finished and sealed. No mixing is needed before pouring.
  • Shelf-stable: a drink packaged to sit at room temperature before opening. Each Kronton Elixir lists shelf-stable.
  • Elixir: Kronton's name for its bottled drink line. The Elixir category holds the flavors.
  • Seltzer: a carbonated water base, usually light and lightly flavored.
  • Soda: a carbonated drink with a sweeter, fuller flavor base.
  • Weed drink: an informal name shoppers use for any THC beverage.

The differences between seltzer, soda and elixir are covered in THC Seltzer vs THC Soda vs Elixir. The alcohol-free side is in Non-Alcoholic THC Drinks.

Label terms: size, type and paperwork

Label terms tell a shopper the bottle size, the plant type listed and how to match a report to the package.

  • 375 ml: the metric bottle size. The Strawberry Cough Splash and Mango Slushie listings state 375ml.
  • fl oz: fluid ounces, the US volume unit. Those same listings state 12.68 fl oz.
  • Indica: a plant type category. Kronton lists Mango Slushie - Elixir as indica.
  • Sativa: another plant type category. Strawberry Cough Splash - Elixir is listed as sativa.
  • Hybrid: a category for plants bred from both types. Cotton Candy - Elixir is listed as hybrid.
  • Lab report: a document from a laboratory about a product sample. Kronton places a lab report link inside the product description on each Elixir page.
  • Lot reference: the sample or lot number on a report. It is not always the same number as the batch code on the package.
  • Batch code: the production code printed on the packaging itself.

To check a report, compare the product name, the format and the lot or sample reference against the package. A matching name alone is not a match. When the two do not line up, Kronton asks shoppers to contact the store. More detail is in How to Read a THC Drink Label.

Buying terms: bottles, bundles and monthly packs

Kronton sells single bottles, a bundle and a monthly pack. Prices below are as listed on October 16, 2026.

Delivery terms: age checks and signatures

  • Age verification: a check that the recipient is an adult. Kronton ships orders only to an age verified recipient.
  • ID match: the shipping address has to match the recipient's identification.
  • Signature delivery: a carrier hands over the package only after a signature. Kronton requires a signature at delivery.
  • Free shipping threshold: the monthly pack listing states that orders of $100 or more ship free. Shipping cost shows at checkout.

Kronton ships nationwide. Shipping terms are on the Shipping & Returns page.

Trade terms for store owners

  • Wholesale account: a store account approved for wholesale pricing. Stores apply at the Wholesale page.
  • Wholesale price: approved accounts see wholesale prices on the three Elixir flavors when they sign in there.
  • Distributor: a company that supplies brands to stores. Zigg Distro also distributes Kronton to stores.

Retailers often stock a single shelf facing per flavor plus a bundle. Clear labels with size and type listed make the shelf easier to read. Kronton's questions and answers page covers common store questions.
