Weed Drinks, Cannabis Drinks and Hemp THC Drinks: What the Names Mean
Updated October 2, 2026
A weed drink is a beverage made with THC from a cannabis plant extract. Cannabis drink, THC drink, THC beverage and THC infused drink are other names for the same kind of product. Hemp THC drink is a narrower name: it says the THC comes from hemp.
The names on a shelf tell you less than the label does. Three things actually separate one drink from another: the plant the extract comes from, the type of extract, and the format of the drink. This page sorts the common names by those three points, then shows one real example.
That example is Kronton Elixir, a ready-to-drink, hemp-derived THC drink made with live rosin. It comes in three flavors and a bundle, and it is sold online at enjoykronton.com to adults 21 and older.
What people mean by a weed drink
Weed drink is the everyday name. People use it for any drink that contains THC from a cannabis plant, whatever the brand or the format. It is a search term more than a label term. You will rarely see the word weed printed on a bottle.
On the bottle itself, brands tend to use more specific words. They name the cannabinoid (THC or CBD), the source plant (often hemp) and the extract (such as live rosin, distillate or isolate). Those words are what you compare when you shop.
Cannabis drinks and hemp THC drinks: source plant and extract
Cannabis drink is the broad name. Hemp THC drink names the source plant: the THC in the drink was extracted from hemp. A label may say hemp-derived THC to make the same point.
Every Kronton Elixir listing states hemp-derived THC. The listings for Cotton Candy and Mango Slushie describe a hemp-derived delta-9 THC beverage. The listing for Strawberry Cough Splash describes a hemp-derived THC beverage.
| Name | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Weed drink | A drink with THC from a cannabis plant. Everyday wording, rarely printed on a label. |
| Cannabis drink | The broad category name. It does not name a specific plant source or extract. |
| Hemp THC drink | The THC was extracted from hemp. Labels may say hemp-derived THC. |
| THC beverage or THC drink | The drink names THC as its cannabinoid. |
| THC infused drink | THC was added to the drink. The label or listing names what it was added from. |
| CBD drink | The drink names CBD as its cannabinoid, not THC. |
THC beverages, THC infused drinks and other shelf names
THC beverage, THC drink and THC infused drink all say the same thing: the drink was made with THC. Infused only means the THC was added during production. None of these names tells you what the THC came from, so read the listing for the extract.
Some labels also name the form of THC, such as delta-9 THC. When a listing names it, that wording sits next to the source plant. Kronton's Cotton Candy and Mango Slushie listings are examples: hemp-derived delta-9 THC.
CBD drinks compared with THC drinks as label terms
CBD and THC are two different cannabinoids. A CBD infused drink names CBD on its label. A THC drink names THC. The two words are not interchangeable, so check which one the label states before you buy.
Kronton makes THC drinks only. Each Elixir listing states hemp-derived THC, and the Kronton catalog has no CBD drink.
How THC gets into a drink: distillate, isolate and live rosin
The extract is the part of the label most shoppers skip. Distillate, isolate and live rosin are three extract types a drink can be made with.
- Live rosin: a solventless concentrate made from fresh-frozen plant material. Read more in What is a live rosin THC drink?
- Distillate: another extract type a listing may name.
- Isolate: another extract type a listing may name.
Kronton states that it uses live rosin, not distillate and not isolate. Each Elixir listing also names the strain type of its live rosin: Hybrid for Cotton Candy, Sativa for Strawberry Cough Splash and Indica for Mango Slushie.
Common formats: soda, tea, lemonade, shot and elixir
Shoppers look for THC drinks as sodas, teas, lemonades, shots and drink mixes. The format tells you how the drink is packaged and whether you need to mix it. It does not tell you the source plant or the extract.
Kronton's format is the elixir: a ready-to-drink bottled beverage. There is no mixing, and the listings describe it as shelf-stable. The Strawberry Cough Splash and Mango Slushie listings give the bottle size as 375 ml (12.68 fl oz).
Where Kronton Elixir fits
Put the three points together and Kronton Elixir is a hemp THC drink, made with live rosin, in a ready-to-drink bottle. Kronton labels each flavor by strain type.
| Product | Kronton labels it | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Cotton Candy | Hybrid live rosin | Listed at $40 on October 2, 2026 |
| Strawberry Cough Splash | Sativa live rosin | Listed at $40 on October 2, 2026 |
| Mango Slushie | Indica live rosin | Listed at $40 on October 2, 2026 |
| Premium Bundle | One bottle of each flavor | Listed at $110 on October 2, 2026 |
Each bottle's label states its THC content per serving. Each Elixir product page opens with a link to its lab report. Check the product name, the product format and the lot or sample reference on the report against the packaging in hand. A matching product name on its own is not a match. A laboratory sample reference is not always the same number as the batch code printed on a package.
Orders ship only to an age-verified recipient. The shipping address must match that person's identification, and a signature is required at delivery. Kronton ships nationwide, and orders over $100 ship free. Shipping terms are on the Shipping and Returns page.
