Hemp-derived THC means the THC in a drink was sourced from hemp plants. The phrase names the plant source, and the label states it so a buyer can see where the THC came from.
Kronton describes itself as a beverage brand that makes hemp-derived THC beverages. Four Elixir listings name hemp-derived THC among their label facts. The phrase sits next to other plain words: live rosin, the plant type, ready-to-drink and shelf-stable.
What the phrase hemp-derived THC names
The phrase has two parts. Hemp names the plant. Derived means the THC was drawn from that plant. Together, the words tell a buyer the source of the THC in the drink.
Hemp is a variety of the cannabis plant grown widely for fiber, seed and extracts. A drink maker extracts compounds from the plant material, then blends the extract into a beverage base. The label phrase points back to that starting plant.
The phrase describes origin only. It does not describe flavor, size or format. Those details appear in other label words.
Where Kronton states hemp-derived THC
Kronton states the source at the brand level and on the products. The brand description reads: Kronton is a beverage brand making hemp-derived THC beverages.
- Cotton Candy - Elixir lists hemp-derived THC, hybrid and live rosin.
- Strawberry Cough Splash - Elixir lists hemp-derived THC, sativa and live rosin.
- Mango Slushie - Elixir lists hemp-derived THC, indica and live rosin.
- Kronton Elixir - Premium Bundle lists hemp-derived THC with all three plant types.
All of these sit in the Elixir collection. The product page shows what can be ordered.
Live rosin: the word beside the source
Live rosin appears on these four Elixir listings next to hemp-derived THC. Hemp-derived THC answers where the THC came from. Live rosin answers how the extract was made.
In general, rosin is an extract pressed from plant material with heat and pressure, without solvents. Live usually means the plant was frozen fresh before pressing. Kronton covers the term in more depth in What is a live rosin THC drink?.
Plant type: indica, sativa or hybrid
Each single flavor lists one plant type. The bundle lists all three plant types.
- Cotton Candy: hybrid
- Strawberry Cough Splash: sativa
- Mango Slushie: indica
The plant type is a separate word from the source. A drink can be hemp-derived and listed as indica, sativa or hybrid at the same time. The guide on indica vs sativa THC drink labels covers the terms.
Format and size words on the same label
Kronton lists every Elixir product as a ready-to-drink THC drink. Ready-to-drink means the bottle needs no mixing. Shelf-stable generally means the drink is packed to sit unrefrigerated before opening.
Strawberry Cough Splash, Mango Slushie and the Premium Bundle list a size of 12.68 fl oz, or 375ml. Storage details sit in Do THC drinks expire?.
